Experienced WordPress Developer for Project-Based Website Build & Optimization

We’re looking for an experienced, reliable WordPress developer to take a well-defined project from brief to launch delivering a beautiful, high-converting, responsive website that performs well and works across all devices.
This is a project-based contract with clearly defined deliverables and timelines. We want someone proactive who can work independently, communicate clearly, and deliver quality work.

What You’ll Do
- Building a custom or semi-custom WordPress website using modern tools / builders (e.g., Bricks Builder)
- Translating our design briefs and wireframes into a polished, responsive site
- Implementing conversion-focused layouts and technical SEO best practices
- Setting up and optimizing plugins (e.g., caching, SEO, forms, security)
- Ensuring fast performance, accessibility, and clean, maintainable code
- Conducting QA and testing across browsers and devices
- Providing documentation or a short walkthrough at hand-off

Required Skills & Experience
To be a great fit, you should have:
- Strong WordPress expertise — building professional sites from scratch or customizing existing themes/plugins
- Familiarity with page builders (Bricks Builder, etc.) and best practices for responsive design
- Good understanding of performance optimization (caching, lazy loading, image optimization)
- Ability to implement technical SEO basics (schema, metadata, site speed)
- Strong communication, able to ask clarifying questions and work independently

Bonus points for:
- Experience with Cloudflare, WP Rocket or similar tools
- Experience with ACF/Custom Post Types
- Portfolio with conversion-focused WordPress work
