First Bloom Daycare is a trusted childcare provider based in The Bronx, New York, with over 15 years in business. We are passionate about creating a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for children. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Web Developer/SEO-focused Virtual Assistant to help us develop, maintain, and optimize our website, as well as support basic design and virtual assistant tasks. JOB OVERVIEW
You will work alongside our team to create, maintain, update, and optimize our website, improve online visibility through SEO, and assist with light design and virtual assistant responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create, maintain, and update websites
• Make necessary website improvements and changes
• Optimize our WordPress website using Yoast SEO
• Edit SEO titles, meta descriptions, focus keyphrases, alt tags, and internal links
• Improve mobile responsiveness and page speed
• Assist with Google Search Console and Google Analytics
• Perform testing, debugging, and basic back-end tasks
• Make basic layout and content updates in WordPress
• Assist with simple graphic design using Canva or similar tools
• Provide weekly progress reports
• Perform light virtual assistant tasks as needed
• Communicate effectively with the team using Telegram, Google tools, and ClickUp

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong HTML/CSS skills
• JavaScript knowledge
• Responsive web design skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Testing and debugging experience
• Basic back-end knowledge
• On-page SEO experience (required)
• WordPress proficiency
• Experience with Yoast SEO
• Familiarity with Google Search Console & Google Analytics
• Strong written and spoken English
• Reliable internet connection
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

BONUS SKILLS (NOT REQUIRED, BUT A PLUS):
• Experience with page builders (Elementor, Divi, etc.)
• CRM plugin experience and API integrations
• Local SEO strategies
• Basic blogging or content formatting

WORK SCHEDULE:
• 10–20 hours per week to start (with potential to increase)
• Flexible schedule, but availability for a few hours overlap with EST (New York time) is preferred.
