Data Visualization Consultant (Project-Based) Tableau or PowerBI

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Visualization Consultant to assist on a project basis. The consultant will be responsible for designing and building dashboards and reports primarily in PowerBI and Tableau. This role requires an individual who can offer expert guidance and support on various data visualization projects, and provide on-call assistance when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and reports using PowerBI and Tableau.
Provide on-call consultation to clarify and resolve issues related to dashboard design, data integration, and visualization best practices.
Advise on the selection and implementation of data visualization tools and methodologies to optimize project outcomes.
Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Offer insights and recommendations on improving existing data visualization frameworks and strategies.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of data displayed in all reports and dashboards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in PowerBI and/or Tableau is mandatory.
Strong understanding of Power Query and data manipulation.
Proven experience in building interactive dashboards and complex reporting solutions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts in clear terms.
Ability to work independently and offer expert advice and guidance on data visualization projects.

Desired Skills:

Experience in other BI tools and analytics software is a plus.
Knowledge of SQL and other database technologies.
Familiarity with best practices in data visualization and user interface design.

Engagement Details:

This is a remote, project-based position.
Availability for on-call support as needed.
