Backend-leaning Fullstack Developer (50%) – Help us automate bookkeeping for e?commerce

Tired of bloated codebases, meaningless meetings and half-baked products? We’re building a fast, powerful, and modern automation platform for e?commerce bookkeeping – and we need a pragmatic developer like you to help us scale.

This is not another "build our landing page" gig. This is core product development: architecture, logic, performance, data. We're looking for someone backend-leaning, with solid TypeScript experience, who wants to build systems that actually do things.

Why this role matters
We are a growing SaaS that automates all the messy accounting flows between platforms like Shopify, Fortnox, Meta, and PayPal.

Our users are small business owners, accountants, and e?commerce brands, and when our product works, they save hours, avoid fines, and feel confident about their finances.

But we’re still early. Much of the foundation is there, but we’re rebuilding and modularizing our system to handle more users, more logic, and more integrations.

That’s where you come in.

What you’ll do
Refactor and improve our Node.js backend to make it faster and more maintainable

Build and modularize API integrations (Fortnox, Shopify, Meta, PayPal, Qliro, etc.)

Help split logic into services and reusable libraries (we’re moving toward microservices)

Optimize database structure and sync logic (Supabase/Postgres)

Set better developer workflows (error handling, logs, audit trail, testing)

Build and maintain simple but powerful UIs with Next.js + Tailwind (where needed)

Who we’re looking for
We care more about mindset than résumé. But you probably:

Are strong in TypeScript/Node.js and can navigate both backend logic and simple frontends

Have experience with REST APIs, Postgres, event-based systems, and async data flows

Care deeply about clean architecture, naming things well, and keeping code lean

Are pragmatic – you know when to use Make/Zapier/AI, when to code, and when to say "not yet"

Like taking ownership and working directly with a founder (no PM ping pong)

Nice-to-haves:

Experience with accounting, e?commerce, or financial data flows

Firebase functions, Supabase edge functions, or ---------- knowledge

The practical stuff
Scope: ~50% (2–3 days/week or spread however you want)

Location: Remote – we’re based in Cyprus & Sweden, but async is fine

Start date: ASAP
