We’re expanding our remote team and are looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer based in the Philippines to support the growing demand for robust backend systems that power front-end app frameworks.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Backend Developer who can build and maintain efficient APIs, databases, AWS EC2 instances, and Lambda functions. You’ll work closely with our front-end developers and project managers to deliver high-quality applications that perform at scale.

Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

Create and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).

Build and deploy AWS Lambda functions and serverless infrastructure.

Configure and manage AWS EC2 instances for backend services.

Integrate secure authentication and authorization systems.

Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability.

Collaborate with front-end developers and QA teams to ensure seamless integration.

Participate in code reviews, write documentation, and follow Agile workflows.

Requirements
3+ years of backend development experience.

Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies.

Experience with AWS services: EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3.

Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, and cloud architecture.

Familiar with Git, version control, and Agile methodologies.

Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Good spoken and written English for daily collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications
AWS certification (Developer or Architect)

Experience with microservices or serverless architecture

Understanding of front-end technologies (React, Angular, Flutter)

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
