Backend & Automation Developer

We're a US-based technology consultancy. We build custom operations portals, backend automations, and AI-powered tools for our business clients. We're hiring a full-time developer for a long-term role. This is a stable seat, not a one-off project.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain API integrations (REST/JSON, JWT auth) with third-party platforms
- Set up and manage Supabase: schema design, Row Level Security, auth, edge functions
- Deploy and maintain apps on Vercel (Next.js API routes and serverless functions)
- Build n8n workflows: scheduled syncs, webhooks, data pipelines, and automation flows for client projects
- Build and harden Playwright browser automation bots in Node/TypeScript (logins, session persistence, file downloads, error recovery)
- Integrate LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude) for document comparison and data extraction
- Write clear documentation for everything you build. This is a job requirement, not a nice-to-have.

REQUIREMENTS
- Strong Node.js and TypeScript
- Real Supabase experience (Postgres, RLS, auth)
- n8n experience. This is a must, not optional.
- Playwright or Puppeteer automation against real-world sites you didn't control
- Solid REST API integration experience
- Clear written English. You must be able to explain your work in plain language.
- Able to work US Eastern business hours (night shift Philippine time), every working day. Please only apply if you can genuinely sustain this schedule long-term.
- Full-time availability (40+ hrs/week). This role is not compatible with juggling multiple other clients or freelance projects.

NICE TO HAVE (not required, but these move you up the list)
- Next.js frontend experience, especially turning design mockups into polished, professional-looking screens
- Experience building AI voice agents or automated phone/call systems (any platform)

HOW TO APPLY

4. Confirm you can work US Eastern business hours full-time or at least a portion of the hours should overlap, and tell us your current internet speed (screenshot of a speed test is a plus).

5. Optional but encouraged: A client needs data out of an old software system every day. The system has no API, and its website actively blocks automation. Part A: give us three different ways you might still get the data reliably, and the trade-off of each. Part B: now assume every automated approach fails and you're not allowed to write any code at all. The client still needs the data flowing by next week. What do you do?

6. Optional: Have you built AI voice agents or automated phone systems? Have you built user interfaces from design files or mockups? If yes to either, tell us briefly what you built and share links or screenshots.
