Augmented Reality (AR) & Flutter Developer

Location: Australia (Remote/Hybrid)
Employment: 3 Month Contract

We're looking for an experienced Flutter Developer with experience in Augmented Reality (AR) to join our software development team for a project. You'll be working on the AR component only of the mobile app, along side your team mate a fellow app developer.

About the Role

As an AR & Flutter Developer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing mobile applications that leverage the latest AR technologies while maintaining exceptional user experiences across iOS and Android.

You'll work alongside our software engineers, designers and 3D artists to create engaging, real-world applications using cutting-edge technology. Bonus points for applications who can create the 3D assets and design them as well.

Responsibilities
- Develop cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter.
- Build immersive AR experience with Flutter-compatible AR frameworks.
- Integrate Flutter applications with your preferred AR tools
- Develop location-based, markerless, image-tracking and object-recognition AR experiences.
- Consume REST APIs and integrate backend systems.
- Optimise applications for performance across Android and iOS.
- Work collaboratively with designers, project managers and backend developers.
- Participate in technical planning and architecture discussions.

Essential Skills

- Commercial experience developing applications in Flutter (Dart).
- Experience developing Augmented Reality applications.
- Strong understanding of ARKit, ARCore and/or Unity AR Foundation.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and authentication.
- Understanding of mobile application architecture and best practices.
- Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with English
