- Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to create effective and optimized endpoints.
- Propose and implement database schema designs that support current and future features.
- Manage database migrations, queries, and performance optimizations.
- Integrate with external services (Twilio, GPSInsight, QuickBooks/Intuit, OpenAI APIs, etc.).
- Participate in API design discussions, offering input on scalability, usability, and best practices.
- Write and maintain clear documentation for APIs and database structures.
- Troubleshoot and debug backend issues across the API and database layers.

Requirements:
- Proficiency with TypeScript and Express.js.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Experience working with in-memory databases (Redis)
- Experience with API design principles (REST, resource modeling, versioning, authentication).
- Ability to propose and evaluate different database schema designs.
- Experience with production-level systems (logging, monitoring, error handling).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute architectural ideas.
- Openness to use AI Coding Agents in their workflow for faster and efficient working speed

Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with ORMs (Prisma, Sequelize, TypeORM).
- Experience with authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT).
- Experience with third-party APIs (Twilio, GPSInsight, QuickBooks/Intuit).
- Knowledge of scalable API design patterns and database normalization/denormalization trade-offs.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and cloud-hosted databases.

What We Offer:
- Ownership of API and database design decisions in a real-world, production-level system.
- A chance to work on a fast-moving AI-driven platform with multiple integrations.
- Collaborative team environment with room to contribute ideas and grow your expertise.
- Full-time, long-term role (40 hrs/week).
- Starting salary: $5.00/hr, with opportunities for advancement.
