AI Engineer (Claude Code / Agentic Development)

WHO WE ARE

We are an AI venture studio based in Davao, building and shipping AI-powered software products for the Australian market. Real products, real paying customers. We move fast because agentic development (Claude Code and similar tools) is core to how we build, not a gimmick we bolt on.

THE ROLE

We are hiring an AI Engineer who builds real software with AI. You design and ship AI-powered products and features end to end: orchestrating AI coding agents to build fast, integrating LLMs into production, and deploying and running what you build. You work remotely, with real ownership over what you ship.

This is not a role for someone who has only watched tutorials or built demos. We care about what you have actually shipped and how you build.

HOW WE BUILD

We build with agentic development. You architect the system, spec the work, and direct AI coding agents (Claude Code) to write, test and refactor it, then you review, harden and ship. The skill is not typing code, it is directing AI to produce production-grade software and having the judgment to know when it is right and when it is wrong. If you already build this way, you will fit right in.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Build and ship AI-powered products and features end to end
- Integrate Claude / LLM APIs into production: prompt and agent design, structured output, cost and latency control, handling model failure gracefully
- Work across our stack: Next.js / React / TypeScript, FastAPI / Python, PostgreSQL / Supabase
- Own deployment and basic ops for what you build: CI/CD, Docker, cloud hosting
- Move at studio velocity using agentic tools, while keeping quality high

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- You build production software by directing AI coding agents (Claude Code or equivalent), not hand-coding every line. Show us what you have shipped this way.
- Strong full-stack ability: Next.js / React / TypeScript on the front, Python / FastAPI on the back, PostgreSQL / Supabase.
- Real experience integrating LLM / Claude APIs into products, not tutorials, actual shipped features.
- Comfortable owning deploy and ops: CI/CD, Docker, cloud hosting, environments and secrets.
- Good judgment on architecture and code quality, so you can spot when the AI got it wrong.
- Strong written English and clear async communication.
- Based in the Philippines and able to visit our Davao office occasionally (now and then).

Years of experience matter less to us than what you have actually built. Show us the work.
