Zapier & API Automation Specialist (Hourly, Growth Path)

Title: Zapier & API Automation Specialist for Short-Term Rental Business

Description:
We are a U.S.-based short-term rental company (TravelHome LLC) managing multiple Airbnb/VRBO units through Hostaway. We are looking for an experienced Automation Specialist to build, optimize, and maintain workflows across our business systems.

This is an hourly role (10–20 hrs/week) with clear growth in pay based on performance. You will start with a probation period at $2/hr, and move up as you prove your ability to deliver.

Your Responsibilities:
• Build & maintain Zaps across our stack:
• Hostaway ? Slack ? Google Sheets ? WhatsApp ? OpenPhone
• Expand integrations as needed (Stripe, Amex, ---------- , Facebook/Instagram).
• Set up API/webhook integrations when Zapier is limited.
• Automate daily reporting for our Virtual Assistants (bookings, money in/out, issues).
• Create reliable workflows for:
• New booking alerts
• Cleaner notifications
• Call tracking (OpenPhone)
• Guest upsells
• Document each automation in Google Drive (1-pager SOP: Trigger ? Action ? Outcome ? Troubleshooting).
• Provide daily Slack updates + weekly progress reports.

First Projects You’ll Work On:
1. Hostaway ? Slack new booking alerts.
2. Cleaner notifications (checkout reminders).
3. Automated daily report (bookings, payments, issues).
4. OpenPhone missed call logging ? Slack + Google Sheets.
5. Guest upsell draft workflow (restock, pet package, late checkout).

Requirements:
• Proven experience with Zapier (multi-step Zaps, filters, paths, storage actions).
• Comfortable working with APIs & webhooks.
• Strong skills in Google Sheets automation.
• Experience integrating Slack, WhatsApp, or phone systems a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented & test automations before deployment.

Compensation & Hours:
• Week 1 (trial period): $2/hour
• Weeks 2–4: $2.50/hour
• After 1 month: $3/hour (with potential for increases as responsibilities grow)
• Hours: 10–20 per week
• Must be available for a 4-hour block on Fridays for company meeting. Other times and days are flexible.
