Video Editor – Basketball YouTube Channel (Remote, Growth Role)

I'm building something special, a basketball YouTube channel with a real vision, great content, and the ambition to grow into something fans love coming back to. **Who I'm Looking For**

I need a talented and experienced video editor with deep knowledge in YouTube. You understand why certain thumbnails get clicked, why some hooks make people stay and others make them leave in the first 10 seconds, and what separates a 10K view video from a 1M view video. You've watched and studied enough YouTube to know what works, and you've edited enough to know how to execute it.

A passion for basketball is a big plus. You should know the NBA, know where to find quality footage and highlights, and have a feel for what basketball fans want to watch.

**What You'll Be Doing**

- Editing 6–8 videos per month (with full creative input encouraged)
- Sourcing NBA clips, highlights, and relevant footage
- Crafting compelling intros/hooks that hold viewer attention
- Applying YouTube best practices — pacing, music, graphics, captions — to maximize watch time and retention
- Collaborating closely with the channel owner (that's me — I'm very easy to work with and open to your ideas)
