JOB OVERVIEW

About This Role
We are an Australian digital marketing agency that builds professional WordPress websites for local business clients across Australia. We are looking for a skilled Elementor Pro developer to join our team on fixed-price project work, with a genuine pathway to regular part-time hours and potentially full-time employment as our agency grows.
We start with fixed-price projects so both sides can build trust and assess the fit properly. There is no set number of projects before any transition happens. It takes as long as it takes, and when both sides are confident in the working relationship, the conversation about ongoing work happens naturally.

How It Works

Stage 1: Fixed-Price Project Work
We agree on the scope and price upfront before any work begins. You complete the project, we review, provide feedback, and pay promptly on completion. This continues for as long as it needs to.

Typical projects include:

A full multi-page WordPress build from our HTML prototype and written build map
Single page or template builds
Bug fixes or troubleshooting jobs on existing sites

Stage 2: Regular Part-Time Retainer

When the working relationship is established and the fit is clear on both sides, we move to a set number of hours per week at an agreed monthly rate. Work becomes more predictable and consistent for both of us.
Stage 3: Full-Time (As the Agency Grows)
As our client base expands, we want a developer who grows with us. Full-time hours are a genuine possibility for the right person over time.

What You Will Be Building

Each project is a multi-page WordPress website built to a detailed HTML prototype and written build map that we provide. You do not need to design from scratch. Your job is to translate our approved designs into a pixel-accurate, fully functional WordPress site using Elementor Pro.

A typical build includes:

Homepage with hero, animated counters, card sections, testimonials, and enquiry forms
5 to 15 inner pages including service pages, suburb or location pages, article pages, and a contact page
Global header and footer via Theme Builder
Elementor Pro forms connected to email via WP Mail SMTP
Schema markup configured via Rank Math or Yoast
Mobile responsiveness checked and confirmed on all pages
Page speed basics including image compression, clean plugin structure, and no unnecessary code

Skills and Experience Required
Must have:

WordPress and Elementor Pro with a minimum of 80 to 100 completed builds
Hello Elementor theme setup and configuration
Elementor Pro Theme Builder for headers, footers, and single templates
Elementor Pro Form widget with SMTP integration
Essential Addons for Elementor including card hover effects and box widgets
Google Fonts integration and global font and colour setup
Rank Math or Yoast SEO plugin configuration
ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) and Custom Post Type UI
WP Mail SMTP setup and troubleshooting
Responsive design and mobile breakpoint adjustments in Elementor
Ability to read and follow an HTML prototype and written build map accurately
Clear written English communication and proactive updates

Nice to have:

Experience with real estate or local service business websites
Familiarity with JSON-LD schema markup
Basic knowledge of Core Web Vitals and page speed optimisation
Experience with WooCommerce or membership plugins

What We Provide

We are an organised client. When you start a project with us you receive:

A complete HTML prototype of every page for visual reference
A written Elementor Build Map with section-by-section instructions
Global colour codes, font names, and design tokens already defined
Form field specifications written out in full
Schema markup values ready to copy into the SEO plugin
A clear point of contact who responds promptly
Payment via PayPal or Wise, promptly on project completion

You will never be handed a vague brief and left to figure it out. We do the thinking upfront so you can build efficiently.

What We Are Looking For in You
Beyond technical skills, we want someone who:

Takes ownership and flags problems early rather than going quiet
Follows a brief carefully and asks questions when something is unclear
Builds sites the right way with no pasted CSS hacks, no bloated plugins, and no custom code where native Elementor widgets will do the job
Communicates proactively and honestly about timelines
Wants to grow with a team over the long term, not just pick up a one-off gig
Is proud of the quality of their work

Compensation
Project stage: Fixed price agreed per project before work begins. We price fairly for the scope involved.
Ongoing stage: Monthly retainer based on agreed hours per week once the relationship is established.
We are not looking for the cheapest option. We are looking for the most reliable option at a fair price, and we pay accordingly.
Please include your expected per-project rate in your application. Applications without a rate indication will not be prioritised.

How to Apply
Please send us the following:

A short introduction about yourself and your Elementor Pro experience
Links to 3 to 5 WordPress websites you have built (live sites strongly preferred)
Your expected per-project rate
Your availability in hours per week and your time zone
One sentence on why you are looking for a long-term role rather than short-term gig work

Applications without portfolio links will not be considered.

A Note on This Opportunity
We want to be straightforward with you. We are a small agency that is growing steadily. We work with Australian small business clients and we take the quality of their websites seriously. If you are a developer who takes the same pride in your work, communicates well, and wants a stable long-term arrangement with an employer who respects your time, we think this will be a good fit for both of us.
We look forward to hearing from you.
