WordPress Content & SEO System Operator (20 hrs/week, Long-Term)
About the Role
VettedPros Western MA connects Western Massachusetts homeowners with licensed, insured contractors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and junk removal.
This is not a traditional “content writer” position. This is a content system operator role. You will use our tools, templates, and SEO playbook to publish high-quality, local SEO pages every week.
The tools do most of the heavy lifting; your job is to operate the system, follow checklists, and keep everything organized and accurate.
We are looking for someone who wants a long-term home, takes ownership of their work, and is excited to help build a real local brand.
Tools & Tech Stack (Your Daily Environment)You must already be very comfortable working with:
WordPress (this is non?negotiable – you should know it “inside and out”)
Google Sheets (strong skills required – formulas, filters, organizing data)
SEO plugins (Rank Math or similar)
Basic SEO tools (Screaming Frog or willing to learn quickly)
We will provide and train you on our specific tools, including:Sheet Magic – this is our content “brain” inside Google Sheets.
We use it to generate drafts, structure pages, create local variations, and summarize results.
You do not need prior Sheet Magic experience, but you must be very strong in Google Sheets and comfortable supervising a powerful AI?in?Sheets tool.
SEO Generator (WordPress plugin) – used to scale out city + service pages from master templates.
Rank Math – used to ensure every page is technically correct and SEO?clean.
Screaming Frog – used weekly to check for errors (404s, missing meta, etc.).
Important: If you do not feel comfortable living in Google Sheets every day and using tools to do the heavy lifting (instead of writing from scratch), this role will not be a good fit.
The Sheets + tools system is the backbone of everything.
What We Provide
A detailed SEO playbook made specifically for VettedPros Western MA
Clear rules for internal linking
URL structures
Title/H1 formats
City/service targeting
Screaming Frog + Rank Math requirements
A clear Content & SEO Production SOP that tells you exactly:The only 3 page types you will work on (Service Hub, City Hub, City+Service “money” pages)
How to use Sheet Magic templates
How to pass every quality check
The first 3 days are training:
We walk through the SOP together
We build the core templates inside Sheet Magic together
You ask questions, we refine the workflow
After that, you run the system each week
Your Weekly Responsibilities (20 Hours/Week)
Your job is to operate the system and hit consistent output, not to stare at a blank page.
1. City + Service “Money” Pages
Use our Sheet Magic templates to generate content blocks.
Build and publish 5–7 City + Service pages per week in WordPress, using SEO Generator to scale from master structures.
Ensure each page:
Passes Rank Math 80+
Has the correct H1, H2s, internal links, and local landmarks
Follows our URL and title formats
Looks good on mobile
2. Blog Posts (Local SEO Support)
Use our Sheet Magic blog template.
Publish 2 blog posts per week (typically 600–1,000 words).
Focus on:
Local homeowner education
Linking back to our City + Service pages
Clean structure and Rank Math 80+
3. Google Business Profile (GMB) Posts
Use our Sheet Magic GMB template.
Publish 2 GMB posts per week, short, local, and CTA?ready.
4. LeadForge Weekly Recap (SEO “Receipts”)Once a week (Friday):
Grab a couple of simple screenshots (Search Console / Analytics / Sheet stats).
Use a Sheet Magic prompt to create a short summary of the week’s activity and results.
Post this on our separate domain (LeadForge style log). This is raw, honest documentation – no SEO polishing. Just simple “this is what happened this week” in 15–20 minutes.
5. Sheet-Based “CRM” Hygiene
Update our Google Sheet (Sheet Magic) with homeowner and job status:
New lead, matched, job in progress, completed.Mark which homeowners received Quality Assurance forms and which have completed them.
This log is crucial; it will also be how your bonus is tracked.
Monthly Website Maintenance (Extra Pay)In addition to your base weekly pay, you will receive $35/month to handle light technical maintenance:
Run Screaming Frog weekly and fix basic issues (404s, missing meta, etc.).
Ensure core plugins are updated (Rank Math, SEO Generator, security plugins, etc.).
Keep an eye on:Site speed and basic performance
Security alerts
Obvious front?end bugs or display issues
This is not heavy dev work – it’s about being proactive and making sure the site stays healthy.
Compensation & Hours
Base pay:$125/week for 20 hours/week (long?term).
If you can demonstrate strong Sheet Magic experience + 5+ years in WordPress, we are open to $135/week base for the right person.
Important:This is 20 hours/week guaranteed pay.
If you finish the weekly tasks early (for example, in 12–18 hours), you still get paid the full 20 hours.
You can work any schedule you like, as long as the weekly deliverables are 100% complete by Friday (our time).
Performance-Based Bonuses (Per Completed Job)Because you will see every homeowner that comes through the system and help keep the tracking clean, we will pay extra bonuses for completed jobs that go through our contractor network.
Every time a homeowner’s job is completed and paid with one of our contractors, you earn a small bonus.
The exact structure will be simple and transparent (for example: small bonus on small jobs, higher bonus on larger jobs). The better our SEO performs and the more jobs get completed, the more this bonus side can grow for you over time.
Your accurate tracking in the Sheet and QA forms makes this possible.
