JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a WordPress and multi-platform developer with strong design skills to join our agency model on an ongoing contract basis. The ideal candidate understands how to balance aesthetic design with functional development, primarily using Elementor to build and customize high-performing websites across industries.

This role requires someone who can collaborate closely with a creative team, adapt to various client needs, and deliver websites that are not only visually engaging but also scalable, secure, and user-friendly.

Responsibilities

Develop and customize WordPress websites primarily using Elementor.

Implement responsive design and optimize websites for speed, SEO, and performance.

Collaborate with the design and strategy team to translate mockups and wireframes into fully functional websites.

Integrate third-party plugins, APIs, and tools to enhance site functionality.

Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing client websites.

Ensure best practices in coding, security, and accessibility are met.

Build and adapt solutions across multiple platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify, Squarespace, etc.) as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience building and customizing WordPress sites with Elementor.

Strong design sense with the ability to create clean, modern, and user-friendly layouts.

Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.

Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery preferred).

Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL for WordPress customization.

Experience with cross-browser testing and debugging.

Ability to integrate and customize plugins and themes.

Familiarity with SEO best practices and optimization.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, agency-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce builds.

Knowledge of additional CMS platforms (Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace).

Familiarity with version control (Git).

Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).

Knowledge of performance optimization tools (e.g., caching, CDN).

Ability to implement advanced custom fields and custom post types.

Contract Details

Position Type: Contract (with ongoing projects)

Structure: Agency model – you’ll collaborate with a creative team across multiple client accounts.

Compensation: Based on experience and project scope.

Location: Remote (preferred availability for meetings in U.S. time zones).
