WordPress Dating Site Builder (Subscriptions + Profiles + Quiz + Chat) — Project-Based

We’re shipping a lean dating MVP for West Africa and want someone who builds fast, keeps things up-to-date, and collaborates like a co-worker (not a faceless contractor). You’ll own the project, which includes creating methods to have user profiles, a short match quiz (score ? user meta), browse/search, private messaging, and a subscription paywall (only active members can view/chat). Payments must run via a West–African–friendly gateway (e.g., FedaPay) on WooCommerce. Deploy on our SiteGround hosting, mobile-first, minimal bloat. I have ideas on plug-ins, but will take suggestions.

This is project-based to start, with a clear path to ongoing work in the future (retainer or part-time). Women are strongly encouraged to apply — we’re a women-owned studio and want teammates who value respectful, flexible, async collaboration. I am also a WordPress developer, but I want to grow my company. I'm looking for VAs to help with that.

Communication & Reporting (non-negotiable):
Daily check-in (3–5 bullets) via email or Slack (we can use Slack if helpful).
Brief Loom/video demo of updates weekly.
The right person wouldn't mind me checking in on the dashboard infrequently to check on things.

Skills (must-have):
5+ yrs WordPress (users/roles, user meta, hooks/filters)
WooCommerce + subscriptions/membership access control
Plug-in centric.
Payment gateway integration (webhooks/tests), preferably non-US gateways
Solid PHP/JS/CSS for surgical tweaks; update-safe structure. Snippets and shortcodes.
Performance basics (image limits, caching), spam/abuse controls
Nice-to-have: Elementor or clean Gutenberg builds; simple reporting (signups, active subs, failed renewals); moderation workflows.

Compensation & Time:
Part-time / project-based. Propose hourly ($8–$12/hr) or milestone with hours estimate.

Paid 1–2 hr mini-test before full award.
