Website Developer (WooCommerce) – Frozen Food Ecommerce with Automated Integrations

About the Project:

We are seeking an experienced Website Developer to build a high-performing WooCommerce ecommerce website for a frozen food company that delivers directly to consumers. The website will be designed to handle efficient order routing, financial synchronization with QuickBooks, and scalability for future expansion into multiple Canadian cities.

Scope of Work:

Develop a fully functional WordPress + WooCommerce ecommerce website.

Set up the product catalog, cart, checkout, and secure payment gateways.

Configure automated order routing to:

A courier/delivery company, and

A fulfillment company.

Integrate the website with QuickBooks to ensure that all sales and order data are automatically synced and updated in real time.

Design infrastructure to support multi-city operations (initial launch in one city, scalable to two or more).

Include social media links throughout the website.

Enable, if possible, Instagram integration to receive and process orders directly through the platform.

Provide technical recommendations and advice to enhance website performance, user experience, and backend automation.

Qualifications:

Proven experience building WooCommerce-based ecommerce websites.

Expertise with WordPress, API integrations, and QuickBooks Online synchronization.

Experience setting up automated workflows involving courier and fulfillment services (e.g., ShipStation, Zapier, or similar).

Understanding of best practices for frozen food or perishable goods ecommerce is an asset.

Ability to build for scalability, speed, and security.

Strong communication skills and proactive approach to suggesting improvements.

Automated routing of orders to courier, fulfillment company, and QuickBooks.

Responsive design optimized for mobile and desktop.
