JOB OVERVIEW

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Website Developer to support the build, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of client websites. This role is ideal for someone who is not only technically capable but also takes ownership of quality, performance, and user experience. You will work closely with a small remote team, including SEO specialists and operations, to ensure all websites are delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance
Build and maintain websites (primarily WordPress / Shopify / Webflow depending on projects)
Implement responsive, mobile-friendly designs
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
Manage hosting, domain, and basic server configurations when required

Performance & Optimization
Optimize website speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals
Implement on-page SEO elements (meta tags, schema, structure)
Fix technical issues affecting rankings or user experience

QA & Quality Control
Conduct thorough testing before any website goes live
Identify and fix bugs, broken links, layout issues, and inconsistencies
Maintain high standards of execution across all client websites

Collaboration
Work with SEO/GEO specialist to implement technical SEO changes
Coordinate with team on timelines, priorities, and deliverables
Provide updates and flag blockers proactively

Requirements
Proven experience in website development (portfolio required)
Strong knowledge of:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript
CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow preferred)

Experience with:
Website speed optimization tools (e.g., PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix)
SEO best practices

Familiar with:
Hosting, domains, DNS basics
Strong attention to detail (this is critical)
Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Good communication and accountability

Nice to Have
Experience with Elementor / custom themes
Basic design sense (UI/UX awareness)
Experience with tracking tools (Google Analytics, Tag Manager)
Experience working in agencies or managing multiple client projects

Performance Expectations (KPIs)
On-time delivery of tasks
Minimal QA issues / rework required
Website performance benchmarks met (speed, responsiveness)
Clear and consistent communication

Working Style
Remote, async-friendly
Task-based tracking (Google Sheets / Monday.com / similar)
Clear deadlines and accountability
Small, fast-moving team
