We are looking for a highly independent, self-motivated Web Designer/Developer who can not only maintain and improve our websites but also lead new digital initiatives that directly support business growth, such as setting up our online shop and improving user engagement.
This role is ideal for someone who loves taking ownership, proposing ideas, and driving improvements without needing constant supervision.
Your Responsibilities
Website Management & Improvements
Maintain and enhance two existing WordPress websites
Build new pages and features (e.g., careers page with CV upload)
Improve layouts, branding cohesion, media, and user experience
Ensure speed, stability, mobile responsiveness, and security
Troubleshoot technical issues, plugin conflicts, and theme errors
Digital Growth Initiatives (Key Focus Area)
We want someone who can help grow the business, not just maintain it.
This includes:
Planning and building our future online shop (WooCommerce or Shopify)
Suggesting ways to improve conversions, form performance, booking flow, or lead capture
Implementing SEO improvements and page-speed optimisation
Optimizing property pages and service pages to increase enquiries
Introducing useful tools, features, or integrations that enhance customer experience
Setting up and improving tracking (Analytics, Pixels, event tracking) for better data-driven decisions
Content & Ongoing Updates
Upload property updates, service changes, images, and new content
Maintain consistent branding across both sites
We want someone who will:
Take initiative
Proactively identify weak points and fix them
Suggest improvements without being asked
Drive digital growth through smart ideas and execution
Requirements
Strong experience with WordPress (Elementor, WPBakery or similar)
Good eye for modern, clean design
Experience with forms, uploads, integrations, plugins
Understanding of SEO basics, optimisation, and fast load speeds
Independent, reliable, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
Great problem-solving skills
Good English communication
Nice to Have
Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Canva, Figma)
Experience with booking/property websites
E-commerce experience (WooCommerce or Shopify)
Ability to recommend tools, themes, or plugins to improve workflow
Working Hours
10–20 hours per week
Flexible schedule
Occasional availability during UK business hours for alignment calls
