Web Voice AI Developer (Newbook Booking Platform Integration)

We’re building a voice AI booking agent that will take accommodation bookings directly through our Newbook booking system (used by tourist parks and caravan parks in Australia).

The AI agent will answer guest questions, check availability, make bookings, and send SMS or email confirmations.
If the request is too complex (e.g., large group bookings), it should automatically forward to a manager with a call or SMS summary.

We’re looking for a skilled web developer with AI and API integration experience who can build something similar to Avar.ai but customized for our system.

???? Your Responsibilities
• Build a web-based voice assistant using OpenAI Whisper (speech recognition) + GPT (conversation engine)
• Integrate with Newbook API for real-time booking and availability
• Connect voice calling through Twilio Voice, WebRTC, or similar API
• Implement escalation workflow (send summary to manager via SMS if AI can’t handle)
• Create a simple admin dashboard to review conversation logs and bookings
• Integrate CommWeb or Newbook payment links for deposits
• Optimize prompts and logic to sound natural and helpful to guests
