Job description:

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team on a fixed-term engagement supporting multiple client websites and internal web projects.

This role is fully remote, and workload may vary depending on active projects and business requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong web development experience, be comfortable managing multiple projects independently, and consistently deliver quality work within agreed timelines.

This role is primarily technical in nature; however, the candidate should be comfortable participating in periodic project discussions and occasional client touchpoints as needed.

Initial engagement period is 3 months and may be extended depending on project requirements and business needs.



Key Responsibilities
Maintain, update, and enhance company and client websites across multiple projects
Design, develop, and implement website features and functionalities based on project requirements
Build responsive, user-friendly websites optimized across different devices and browsers
Develop and maintain backend systems, databases, and website functionality
Integrate APIs, third-party tools, payment systems, CRM platforms, forms, and other services
Conduct website testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
Perform website maintenance, security checks, and performance optimization
Optimize websites for speed, scalability, SEO, and overall functionality
Support multiple website projects while ensuring deliverables and timelines are met
Participate in project discussions and provide technical recommendations when needed
Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance as required
Stay updated with web development trends, tools, and technologies


Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience in web development and programming
Strong understanding of frontend and backend development principles
Experience in one or more backend technologies/frameworks such as Node.js, Django, PHP, or Ruby on Rails
Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular
Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, or similar platforms
Experience with APIs, CMS platforms, and website integrations
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable participating in project discussions and periodic client updates as needed


Preferred Skills
Experience supporting multiple client websites simultaneously
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
Knowledge of website security best practices
Familiarity with UX/UI principles
Experience working in agile or project-based environments
