Part-Time Web Developer for Healthcare Web App

Overview
Patient Watch is a UK-based healthcare technology company building a modern web application for patients and clinicians. The platform helps patients complete health outcome diaries and helps clinicians monitor recovery, symptoms, and treatment progress.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented part-time Web Developer / Technical Assistant to help with ongoing development of our web app and marketing website. This is a part-time role for 15 hours per week, working closely with the founder on small features, bug fixes, website updates, testing, and technical admin.

You do not need to be a senior developer, but you should be careful, organised, willing to learn, and comfortable working with modern web technologies.

Tech Stack
The main technologies we use are:

React with TypeScript
Vite
TanStack Router
TanStack Query
Zustand
Tailwind CSS
Shadcn UI / Radix UI
React Hook Form and Zod
Supabase, including PostgreSQL, Auth, Edge Functions, and Row Level Security
Astro for the marketing website
Playwright for end-to-end testing
GitHub, Cursor, Notion, and WhatsApp for development and communication
Experience with all of these is not required, but you should already be comfortable with React, TypeScript, Git, and CSS.

Responsibilities
Web App Development: Help build and improve React/TypeScript features, forms, dashboards, tables, and user flows.
Website Updates: Make content, layout, SEO, and design updates to the Astro marketing website.
Bug Fixes: Investigate and fix small frontend bugs, styling issues, form validation problems, and user experience issues.
Supabase Support: Help with basic Supabase queries, database updates, Edge Function testing, and debugging.
Testing: Write or update Playwright tests for important user journeys.
Technical Admin: Keep Notion tasks updated, document changes clearly, and help organise development work.
QA & Review: Test features carefully before handover, especially on mobile and different screen sizes.

Requirements
Good written English.
At least 1 year of experience with React or similar frontend development.
Comfortable using TypeScript, Git, and modern CSS.
Able to follow instructions carefully and ask questions when something is unclear.
Reliable internet connection and availability for regular communication.
Comfortable using tools like GitHub, Notion, WhatsApp, and Cursor or VS Code.
Strong attention to detail, especially for healthcare-related software.

Nice to Have
Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL.
Experience with Astro or content/SEO updates.
Experience with Playwright or automated testing.
Experience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries.
Interest in healthcare, medical software, or patient-facing products.

Compensation & Support
Hours: 15 hours per week
Rate: To be agreed based on experience
Schedule: Flexible, but must be available for overlap with UK working hours at least 2 days per week
