ABOUT THIS ROLE:
We're Hiring: Web Developer (Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma)
Are you a web developer who thrives on building elegant, high-performance applications with modern frameworks? DataGPT is looking for a talented developer to join our team and help shape the next generation of AI-powered data analytics.
You’ll work on a fast-moving team building a scalable web platform using Next.js 15, TypeScript, and Prisma, designed to process and visualize billions of data points with ease. This role is perfect for someone who’s excited by innovation, driven by clean code, and passionate about crafting seamless user experiences that bring complex data to life.
What You’ll Do
As a Web Developer at DataGPT, you'll play a key role in building and optimizing our AI-powered analytics platform. Your work will directly impact how users interact with massive datasets and generate real-time insights.
-Build Scalable Frontends: Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using Next.js 15 and React.
-Engineer with Type Safety: Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code and use Prisma to manage robust, scalable backend services.
-Power AI Interactions: Collaborate with our data science team to integrate AI-driven, chat-based features that simplify data exploration.
-Optimize for Scale: Ensure smooth performance across billions of data records using techniques like pagination, lazy loading, and caching.
-Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver intuitive features that simplify complex workflows.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional experience in web development using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks. (Python experience is a plus.)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Next.js and TypeScript in production environments.
- Familiarity with Prisma or similar ORMs, and a strong understanding of resilient, scalable backend architectures.
- Experience optimizing performance when working with large datasets (e.g., pagination, lazy loading, caching).
- Strong skills in debugging and optimizing web applications for performance.
- Interest or experience in integrating AI-powered or chat-based features into web applications.
- Clean, well-structured code practices, Git version control proficiency, and a collaborative mindset.
- Must be able to work or significantly overlap with the Eastern Standard Time (EST) timezone for tea
