Job Description

Adapting Social is seeking a highly creative, design-forward Web Designer who is passionate about building visually striking, interactive, and modern websites that stand out.

We are specifically looking for designers who go beyond template-style websites and have the ability to create dynamic, visually engaging experiences through layout, motion, animations, and strong visual storytelling.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, understands user experience, and can craft websites that feel premium, polished, and memorable. You should be excited about experimenting with layouts, subtle motion, and micro-interactions that elevate the experience and make a site feel modern and high-end.

We’re looking for someone whose portfolio includes bold, creative, or interactive websites that truly stand out — not just functional builds.

This role will work closely with the Web Manager and collaborate with designers, developers, and marketing strategists to bring client brands to life online.

This position reports directly to the Web Manager.


The ideal candidate:
Has a portfolio with visually impressive, modern, and interactive websites
Is passionate about creative layouts, motion design, and animations
Understands how to balance design aesthetics with conversion-focused UX
Can build websites that feel unique, polished, and intentionally designed
Thinks beyond templates and enjoys pushing creative boundaries
Is curious about emerging web trends and technologies
Is detail-oriented and collaborative

Desired Skill Set
Strong understanding of modern web design principles
HTML and CSS knowledge
WordPress experience
Wix/Wix Studio experience
Elementor Page Builder experience
Responsive and interaction design
UI/UX best practices
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Branding, color theory, and typography
Experience creating animated or interactive elements
Design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, or Illustrator
Understanding of accessibility standards and performance optimization

Bonus if you have experience with:
Advanced animations or motion design
Scroll-based interactions
Micro-interactions and dynamic UI behaviors
High-end or award-style web design inspiration
Webflow experience

Responsibilities
Design visually engaging, modern, and conversion-focused websites for clients across multiple industries
Create dynamic layouts and engaging user experiences that go beyond standard template structures
Incorporate animations, motion design, and interactive elements to enhance the user experience
Collaborate with the Web Manager and Web Designers from concept to launch
Work alongside marketing teams to ensure design supports campaign goals
Deliver high-quality design work while balancing multiple projects
Stay up to date with the latest web design trends, tools, and creative approaches
Contribute creative ideas that elevate the visual direction of projects

Requirements
2+ years of agency or startup experience
Strong conceptual and creative thinking
Demonstrated experience designing modern websites
A strong eye for visual composition and layout
Ability to balance creativity with usability and conversion goals
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly
Highly adaptable and organized
Must provide a portfolio showcasing standout web design work
