Voice Agent Engineer

VAVAVOICE is launching a voice-AI agency delivering AI receptionist services to UK businesses. Site in development: www.vavavoice.ai. We need an AI voice engineer who delivers reliable agents fast.

Role focus:
• Build and maintain production-ready voice agents inside ElevenLabs using workflow nodes.
• Wire robust booking flows: consent - data capture - availability lookup - option offer - confirmation - SMS - payment link.
• Integrate Roller (booking system), Twilio (calls/SMS), and payment links end-to-end.
• Handle webhook design, error handling, logging, retries, and edge-cases.

First project (paid trial):
• Client: children’s mini-golf park ( ---------- ).
• Deliverable: a working AI receptionist that books tee times via Roller, confirms via SMS, and sends a payment link.

Core responsibilities:
• Design node-based conversational flows that fail safely and recover cleanly.
• Connect external APIs (Roller, Twilio) with auth, webhooks, and JSON payloads.
• Normalise phone numbers to E.164, manage timezones (IANA), and convert to/from UTC.
• Implement slot search, make and confirm bookings.
• Ship readable configs, versioned JSON, and concise handover notes.

Must-have skills:
• Prompt writing for Elevenlabs workflow - node system.
• Solid API integration skills: REST, webhooks, auth, JSON schemas.
• Twilio calls/SMS setup, messaging services, and basic SIP knowledge.

Engagement and pay:
• Start ad hoc per client. Move to a retainer once we’re onboarding clients steadily.
• Hours: flexible.
• Compensation: project-based to start; monthly retainer once we grow.
