Voice AI Engineer (Retell, VAPI, GHL, ElevenLabs)

We are hiring a Voice AI Engineer who can build, configure, and maintain voice-based AI workflows for two fast-growing tech companies. If you have experience with Retell, VAPI, call flows, voice agents, and real-time API integrations, this is a strong fit. We are not looking for beginners or assistants — we want someone who has worked hands-on with voice agents or is confident they can build them quickly.

Our companies use AI phone agents for appointment-setting, recruiting, customer support, and sales demos. You will be responsible for creating stable systems that instantly respond to inbound leads, handle phone conversations, sync the data to our CRM (GoHighLevel), and log all results.

This role includes building and improving the following:
– AI voicemail and missed call responders
– AI outbound appointment-setter systems
– AI inbound receptionist flows
– AI recruiting call flows with scoring
– Live-transfer logic for closing calls
– Real-time syncing between Retell, VAPI, Centerfy, GHL, and Airtable
– ElevenLabs voice tuning and prompt engineering
– Error handling, retries, logging, and performance monitoring
– Basic n8n integrations when needed

You must be comfortable with JSON formatting, API authentication, webhook setups, call event logs, and troubleshooting voice AI errors. You should also be able to evaluate new platforms (Centerfy, SalesCloser.ai, VAPI, etc.) and recommend best practices.

Requirements:
Must have strong English communication and clear written explanations.
Must be comfortable working with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and real-time audio pipelines.
Must have at least some experience with Retell, VAPI, AI voice agents, or similar tools.
Must be able to design structured call flows, improve accuracy, and diagnose call issues.
Must have stable internet, a quiet workspace, and the ability to communicate via WhatsApp.
Must provide examples of past work, sample workflows, or screen recordings of similar systems.

Nice to Have:
Prior experience integrating voice AI with GoHighLevel
Experience with Centerfy or SalesCloser AI
Knowledge of n8n or ----------
Experience tuning voices with ElevenLabs
Experience connecting CRM automations or call scoring systems

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:
Connecting Retell or VAPI to GHL using webhooks
Building custom JSON call flows and updating logic when needed
Creating fallback logic for no response, bad audio, or misunderstood questions
Setting up real-time lead responses under 30 seconds
Configuring call scoring, event logs, and CRM updates
Helping improve the accuracy and performance of AI voice agents
Deploying new voice systems for new clients
Recording short Loom videos to document how everything works
Advising our team on the best voice AI approaches and tools
