Virtual IT & Automations Assistant

Work directly with a UK-based technology consultancy helping small businesses transform through AI, automations, and smarter systems.
CB Tech Consulting Ltd is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Virtual IT & Automations Assistant to join our distributed team on a part-time, remote basis from the Philippines. This is an opportunity to work flexibly while supporting real business impact across the UK technology landscape.

About the Role
You’ll support the delivery of automation, IT, and web solutions—ranging from CRM setup to chatbot and workflow automations—built using platforms such as Make, Relevance, n8n, and WordPress. Working closely with our consultants, you’ll help configure systems, maintain websites, build/test and deploy automations, and document processes. Success in this role means ensuring smooth project execution, timely communication, and consistently high-quality results.

What You’ll Do
1. Build, test, and maintain automations using tools like Make, Relevance, and n8n, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
2. Assist in setting up and maintaining CRM systems, integrations, and workflow automations.
3. Support WordPress website builds, updates, and maintenance tasks, including plugin updates, minor content edits, and performance checks.
4. Apply basic coding and scripting skills (e.g., JavaScript, Python, HTML, or CSS) to support automation and website tasks.
5. Conduct testing and quality assurance for automation scripts, chatbots, and website functionality.
6. Prepare clear documentation, client-ready summaries, and internal reports.
7. Maintain task tracking and progress within project management tools (Microsoft Planner, Trello, or ClickUp).
8. Coordinate with UK-based tea ---------- mbers during overlapping hours for updates and handovers.
9. Ensure secure data handling and compliance with UK GDPR and data protection principles.

What You’ll Bring
Essential
1. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
2. Proven experience in remote work, self-management, and digital collaboration.
3. Working knowledge of automation platforms such as Make, Relevance, or n8n.
4. Basic coding ability (e.g., JavaScript, Python, HTML, or CSS).
5. Familiarity with WordPress website setup and maintenance, including plugin updates and basic troubleshooting.
6. Strong understanding of cloud tools (Microsoft 365, Teams, task management systems).
7. Ability to work 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with at least 3 hours overlapping UK business hours (09:00–17:30 UK time).
8. Reliable laptop/desktop, stable internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps), quiet workspace, and backup power.
9. Commitment to confidentiality and secure data handling in line with UK GDPR.
Nice to Have
1. Experience supporting UK or international clients.
2. Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Go High Level.
3. Certifications in automation tools, low-code/no-code platforms, or WordPress.
4. Exposure to AI tools, chatbots, or API integrations.
5. Knowledge of system integrations, webhooks, or data mapping.

Ways of Working
You’ll collaborate through Microsoft 365, Teams, and project/ticketing systems, with clear documentation and daily updates for smooth handovers across time zones. The role requires independence, accountability, and proactive communication within a supportive, remote-first environment.

Compensation & Hours
• Engagement: Independent contractor (Philippines-based)
• Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week (3 hours per day, Monday–Friday)
• Contract: Ongoing
• Payment: Made monthly
• Potential for increased hours or role expansion based on performance and business needs.
