JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Virtual Bookkeeper with strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience using QuickBooks to provide immediate support for client bookkeeping. This role is ideal for someone confident working with financial data, who understands accounting principles, and takes pride in maintaining accurate, organized, and audit-ready books across multiple client accounts.

This is a remote, flexible position, starting at approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role (up to 40 hours/week) based on performance and workload.

Key Responsibilities:
• As our Virtual Bookkeeper, your primary responsibility will be managing and maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients. Duties include:
• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
• Recording, classifying, and maintaining accurate financial transactions
• Performing bank and credit card reconciliations with precision and consistency
• Maintaining clean, organized, and up-to-date books for each client account
• Preparing and reviewing financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Monitoring accounts for discrepancies, errors, or missing transactions
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and expense tracking
• Ensuring all financial data is accurate, complete, and compliant with standard accounting practices
• Meeting weekly and monthly deadlines across multiple client accounts
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of all financial information


Qualifications:
• To succeed in this role, you must have a strong foundation in bookkeeping and accounting:
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (debits & credits, reconciliations, financial reporting)
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel/Spreadsheets
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset
