JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented and fast-moving Video Editor to join our agency team. You will be responsible for editing short-form and long-form video content for our clients across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You understand pacing, storytelling, and what makes content stop the scroll — and you deliver polished videos with minimal revisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Short-Form Content Editing
Edit high-quality Reels, TikToks, and Facebook video ads (15 sec – 3 min)
Apply motion graphics, text overlays, captions, transitions, and sound design to enhance engagement
Optimise videos for each platform's format and aspect ratio (9:16, 1:1, 16:9)
Create scroll-stopping hooks and dynamic pacing to maximise watch time

Long-Form & Brand Content
Edit full-length YouTube videos, webinars, and brand storytelling pieces
Structure and cut raw footage into compelling narratives following a provided brief
Add intros, outros, lower thirds, and branded templates

Colour Grading & Audio
Apply basic to intermediate colour correction and colour grading
Clean up audio: reduce background noise, balance levels, sync music and voiceover

Client & Team Collaboration
Work from detailed video briefs provided by the Social Media Strategist or Account Manager
Deliver drafts on time and incorporate feedback efficiently (max 2 revision rounds)
Maintain a library of branded assets, templates, music, and sound effects
Flag any issues with footage quality or brief clarity before starting production

Output & Quality Control
Export files in correct formats and specs per platform requirements
Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines (colours, fonts, tone, logo usage)
Stay updated on trending editing styles, transitions, and visual formats on social platforms


TOOLS & SOFTWARE REQUIRED


Adobe Premiere Pro (required) and/or Final Cut Pro
Adobe After Effects – for motion graphics and animated text (a strong plus)
CapCut – for fast-turnaround short-form edits
Adobe Audition or DaVinci Resolve (a plus)
Canva or Adobe Express – for simple graphic elements

REQUIREMENTS


Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience (agency or freelance)
Strong portfolio of short-form social media content (TikTok/Reels/Facebook ads)
Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn video formats and best practices
Eye for design, typography, and visual storytelling
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and hit deadlines
High-performance computer capable of editing HD/4K footage
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Clear English communication skills for brief interpretation and feedback rounds
