Video Editor and Social Media Manager

We’re looking for a skilled short-form video editor and social media manager for our barbershop.

Overview:
We are hiring a Short Form Editor and Social Media Manager to support in social media growth and content editing. Please note that the role mainly focuses on short-form editing.

The role will start effective immediately, with 8 videos per week, with the potential to increase workload.

Core responsibilities:
* Edit 8 short-form videos a week, including consultations and action videos
* Long-term commitment
* Edit videos using CapCut Pro
* How to turn raw footage into clean, engaging, high-converting videos
* Video length around 30-45 seconds per video
* Estimated 2-4 hours editing time per video (this will vary depending on your skill level and type of video provided)
* Structure videos for retention and engagement
* Ability to choose music suitable for the video
* Add hooks, caption, transitions, text and image overlays and trending audio.
* Manage Instagram, TikTok and Youtube accounts
* Respond to comments on social media platforms
* Content Posting: Upload finished videos onto Instagram, TikTok and Youtube
* Create and post Instagram stories
* Inserting captions, hashtags and thumbnail

Requirements:
* Fluent in English
* Experience in editing short-form videos
* Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and trends
* Ability to create engaging videos
* Understanding of short-form content that performs
* Fast turnaround and good communication
* Ability to accept and apply feedback to videos
* Only those providing a portfolio will be considered
* Available during 8:00am PST - 5:30pm PST for a meeting once a week to review/provide feedback on edited videos and provide videos for the week after.

Usual Weekly Hour split:
Responding to comments: 1 hour
Creating stories: 15 minutes
Posting Stories and Content: 45 mins
Creating Content: 17 hours
Weekly Meeting: 1 hour

Please note that:
* At the beginning, the weekly meeting will take 2-3 hours instead of 1 due to onboarding/large amounts of feedback
* Videos may take longer to edit due to being new to editing barbering content
* All extra hours will be paid for accordingly
