About the role
I run a marketing agency (Lion Media) and I'm hiring an in-house video editor to own our video output end to end. You'll edit long-form YouTube videos and cut them down into short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms. This is a core role on a small team, your work goes out the door under our brand, so quality and consistency matter.
What you'll do
Edit long-form YouTube videos (talking-head, tutorials, VSL-style content)
Repurpose long-form into punchy short-form clips for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts
Add captions/subtitles, basic motion graphics, B-roll, music, and sound design
Match pacing and style to each platform (a YouTube edit ? a TikTok edit)
Manage your own project files and hit deadlines without hand-holding
What I'm looking for
Proven editing experience, long-form AND short-form (portfolio required)
Strong sense of pacing, hooks, and retention for social platforms
Comfortable with captioning, simple motion graphics, and clean audio
Reliable, communicative, and able to work US hours
No specific software required, use what you're great at (Premiere, DaVinci, CapCut, AE, etc.)
To apply
Put "EDITOR-LION" in your subject line, then include:
Your portfolio or reel (applications without one won't be reviewed)
One short edit you made yourself, and in a sentence or two, name the specific choices you made (why that hook, why those cuts)
One example of a long-form video you turned into a short
Which software and AI tools you use in your workflow (auto-captioning, Opus Clip, Descript, etc.)
Roughly how long it takes you to cut a 60-second short from raw footage
One line on why you want to work with a marketing agency specifically
