"Big Swing Kings" is a golf instruction brand on a mission to help everyday golfers actually get better — through honest teaching, real on-course content, and gear we believe in. We produce long-form YouTube content including matches, instruction videos, and product features, and we're growing fast.
We're looking for a talented, detail-oriented video editor who genuinely "gets" golf — not just the swing, but the culture, the language, and what makes a golf video fun to watch.
What You'll Be Editing
- Long-form YouTube videos (15–45+ min): match play, stroke play, course vlogs
- Instruction content built around a proprietary teaching system
- Product reviews and brand partnership content
- Occasional short-form cuts from long-form source material
You Must Have
- Proven proficiency in CapCut (this is non-negotiable — it's our primary editing platform)
- BONUS: Experience with Shot Tracer Pro for ball flight and shot path animations (but can be taught)
- Genuine golf knowledge — the more the better. You need to understand what just happened on screen without us explaining it
- A portfolio of long-form YouTube edits (golf content preferred, but show us your best work)
- Your own equipment and software — you need to be ready to work from day one
- Availability for a weekly video call to review content, align on priorities, and give/receive feedback
What A Great Fit Looks Like:
- You watch golf YouTube for fun
- You know when a shot needs a tracer and when it doesn't
- You understand pacing — golf content has natural rhythm and you can feel it
- You can take raw footage and build a story without being hand-held
- You're consistent, communicative, and hit deadlines
The Role
- Part-time: approximately 20 hours/week
- Remote / flexible schedule
- Long-term relationship — we're not looking for a one-and-done editor
- Compensation based on experience (include your rate expectations in your application)
To Apply
Please send:
1. A link to your portfolio or YouTube channel featuring your edits
2. A short paragraph about your golf background and knowledge
3. Tell us about your favorite golf shot you've ever hit or the best round you've ever played.
4. A sample or trial edit may be requested before a final offer is made
Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
If you love golf and love editing, this is a genuinely fun job. We'd love to find someone who stays with us for years.
