JOB OVERVIEW

Entrelingo Group is an Australian company operating across NAATI-certified translation, migration, skills assessments, and recruitment. We're building a content operation to grow our brand and we need an editor who turns raw footage into scroll-stopping, publish-ready content — fast and consistently.

THE ROLE
We record. You deliver. Raw footage comes from our founder and team. Your job: transform it into clean, high-impact content for Instagram and YouTube. Content is a core growth channel — we treat it that way.

SCOPE OF WORK (monthly)
- At least 45 short-form reels (Instagram / Shorts, under 60 seconds)
- 4–6 long-form YouTube videos

All content is in Spanish. You don't need to speak Spanish, but you must be comfortable working with it — syncing captions, cutting silences, following audio rhythm in a language that may not be your own.

WHAT EACH DELIVERY LOOKS LIKE
This is the standard we hold every video to — no exceptions:

- Hook in the first 2–3 seconds that stops the scroll
- Zero dead air — silences, filler words, and pauses are cut without mercy
- Tight pacing — every second earns its place, nothing coasts
- Smooth, intentional transitions — not template transitions, not random cuts
- Motion graphics and text animation that feel native to the platform
- Music selected to match the emotional tone of the content — not background noise
- Sound effects (SFX) layered deliberately and with purpose — they elevate the video, not decorate it
- Audio mastered correctly — vocals clear, music and SFX balanced, no clipping, no dead frequencies
- Color grading that looks intentional and professional, not filtered
- Accurate captions — styled, on-brand, and timed precisely
- Thumbnail creation for YouTube that earns the click
- Vertical (9:16) and horizontal (16:9) versions delivered when required
- Files named, organized, and delivered in the correct specs for each platform

REQUIRED TOOLS
You must have strong working knowledge of the following. We'll ask about your workflow with each one.

Editing:
- Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve — advanced level, not intermediate
- Adobe After Effects or CapCut Pro for motion graphics and text animation
- Descript for transcript-based editing and silence removal

Audio:
- Adobe Audition or equivalent for audio cleanup and mastering
- Epidemic Sound, Artlist, or Musicbed for licensed music
- Soundsnap, Zapsplat, or equivalent SFX library — sound effects are not optional in our content
- Splice or similar for custom audio assets

Captions and subtitles:
- Descript, CapCut, Rev, or equivalent — accuracy and visual style both matter

Review and delivery:
- ---------- or equivalent for feedback and version control

Additional:
- Canva Pro for YouTube thumbnails
- Topaz Video AI or equivalent for footage enhancement when needed
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (Runway ML, Pika, or similar) is a strong plus
- Notion or Airtable for tracking deliverables

WHAT WE CARE ABOUT
Experience level matters less than output quality. One year of experience with exceptional edits beats five years of average work. What we cannot compromise on is craft — pacing, sound design, and the ability to make a talking-head video feel alive.

What we need to see:
- A portfolio with real examples — reels, talking-head content, or brand videos. No portfolio = no review, no exceptions.
- Proof you've edited for a real brand or creator (not just personal projects)
- Videos where the sound design is clearly intentional — music, SFX, and audio balance working together
- Someone who flags problems AND proposes solutions without being asked

SELECTION PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates receive a test edit (no payment for the test), real raw footage from our team, in Spanish. You apply your full skill set: cut the silences, clean the audio, choose the music, layer in the sound effects, caption it, make it feel right. The best edit wins the role.

This is how we find out who actually delivers versus who interviews well.

YOU'RE THE RIGHT FIT IF:

- You've edited content in a language that isn't your native one (Spanish experience is a big plus)
- You treat sound design as seriously as the visual edit — you know SFX make or break a video
- You're fast without sacrificing quality
- You don't need hand-holding on every decision
- Deadlines are non-negotiable for you
- You're genuinely obsessed with the craft — you notice bad edits in other people's videos and you can't let them go

TO APPLY, SEND:
1. Your portfolio link — required, no exceptions
2. A short message describing your editing process, the tools you use daily, and how you approach sound design
3. One piece from your portfolio you're most proud of, and why — specifically mention the sound decisions you made

Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.
