Video Editor / AI Visual Creator for Documentary YouTube Channel

Hi,

I am looking for a skilled video editor / AI visual creator to help produce long-form documentary-style YouTube videos.

The channel will focus on historical AI reconstruction videos. The style is cinematic, serious and visually rich, using AI-generated images, animated historical visuals, maps, archival references, sound design and strong pacing.

The exact video topic, script and title will only be shared after selecting the right candidate and agreeing on the project terms.

This is not basic stock footage editing. The job requires visual thinking, AI image generation, AI animation and strong storytelling through editing.

What You Will Do

For each video, I will provide:

-Finished script
-Voiceover
-General visual direction
-Reference examples
-Feedback after the first draft

Your task is to turn the script and voiceover into a complete YouTube-ready video.

This includes:

-Creating or sourcing visuals for each scene
-Generating historically believable AI images
-Animating images with AI tools
-Editing the full video in a cinematic documentary style
-Syncing visuals properly with the voiceover
-Adding subtle movement, zooms, camera effects and transitions
-Adding maps, location titles and simple text overlays where needed
-Adding background music and sound effects
-Delivering a finished video ready for YouTube upload

The expected video length is around 10 to 15 minutes.

You do not need to use all of these tools, but you must be comfortable using AI tools and editing software.

Important Requirements

You must be able to:

-Work independently from a finished script
-Understand the tone of a serious historical documentary
-Create visuals that match the narration
-Avoid generic or random stock footage
-Keep the edit visually engaging for 10 to 15 minutes
-Deliver clean and professional work
-Communicate clearly
-Meet deadlines
-Take feedback and improve the video where needed

Historical accuracy is important. The visuals do not need to be perfect, but they should feel believable and suitable for the time period, city and story.

Type of Work

This will start as a paid test project for one video.

If the first video goes well, this can become recurring work for multiple videos per month.
I am looking for someone who can eventually become a regular editor for the channel.

Compensation

This is a fixed-rate project per video.
