JOB OVERVIEW

About 6 Pillars Marketing (6PM)

Celebrating over 30 years of excellence, 6 Pillars Marketing (6PM) is Hawaii’s premier award-winning integrated marketing agency. We blend "Aloha Spirit" with cutting-edge digital technology to build unforgettable experiences across our six core pillars. At 6PM, we don't just create content; we build the visual heartbeat of our clients' brands.

The 6 Pillars of Excellence

Your role as a Video Production Editor will touch every facet of our agency, collaborating with specialists in: Marketing & Advertising | Public Relations | Interactive (Digital) | Experiential Marketing | Immersive Events | Community Relations

Role Overview

We are looking for a versatile Video Production Editor to lead our multi-channel content strategy. On behalf of our agency campaigns and for clients across a wide range of industries, you will transform raw footage into compelling, story-driven, high-performing content for YouTube, Podcasts, Social Media, and Streaming Platforms. The ideal candidate understands the distinct creative DNA required for a 30-minute podcast versus a 15-second TikTok and can execute both with award-winning excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- TikTok & Instagram Reels: Create, edit, and optimize high-engagement content. Stay ahead of platform-specific transitions, trending audio, and "scroll-stopping" hooks.
- Vertical Strategy: Expertly manage 9:16 vertical compositions, ensuring all elements are within "safe zones" for UI overlays.
- Content Repurposing: Strategically "atomize" long-form YouTube and Podcast content into high-impact snippets for social growth.

2. YouTube & Long-Form Production

- Narrative Editing: Build engaging story arcs for long-form videos (10–20+ minutes).
- Optimization: Create custom thumbnails, on-screen graphics (lower thirds, CTAs), and manage SEO elements such as chapter timestamps.
- Promotional & Venue Highlights: Produce branded sizzle reels, event recaps, and venue highlight videos that showcase spaces, experiences, and key features for marketing use.

3. Podcast & Audio Post-Production

- Audio Polish: Perform full vocal leveling, noise reduction, and multi-track mixing for professional broadcast quality.
- Video Podcasts: Execute multicam switching for "vodcasts" hosted on Spotify and YouTube.

4. Streaming & OTT Production

- Streaming Shorts: Create promotional content and "shorts" specifically formatted for streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+.
- Broadcast Standards: Ensure all streaming assets meet strict technical delivery specifications (color space, loudness, and bitrate).

Technical Stack (Required)

- Adobe Creative Cloud: Mastery of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Mobile-First Tools: Expert-level proficiency in CapCut (Desktop and Mobile) for rapid social turnaround.
- Audio Engineering: Proficiency in Adobe Audition or Descript.
- Delivery Specs: Knowledge of encoding for Netflix/OTT specification exports.
- Collaboration: Experience using ---------- and Asana for project management.
- AI & Emerging Tools: Willingness to learn, experiment with, and integrate AI-powered tools to enhance editing workflows, content repurposing, audio cleanup, captioning, and overall production efficiency.
