UI/UX Product Designer + Front-End Web Developer (6-Month Build, Scale and Maintenance Role)

We are building MyReentry, a mission-driven justice-tech platform designed to support successful reentry from incarceration into the community. Our startup is seeking a highly reliable, English-proficient UI/UX Designer + Web Developer to partner with our leadership team for a 6-month build, scale, and maintenance commitment, with strong potential for long-term extension.

This role is for someone who can design, build, iterate, and maintain not just create mockups. You will work closely with our technical lead and product leadership and contribute directly to a real-world platform with national expansion goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Must use Figma and AWS
Design and maintain a clean, accessible, mobile-first UI/UX system for our website and platform
Create user flows, wireframes, and clickable prototypes (Figma)
Build responsive, production-ready web pages (Webflow, WordPress, or modern front-end stack)
Implement updates, refinements, and performance improvements weekly
Participate in:
Daily email/telephone check-ins using a U.S. phone number
Weekly planning calls with our engineering lead
Maintain organized design files, documentation, and handoff notes
Ensure site performance, accessibility, and usability best practices

REQUIRED SKILLS
Fluent written and spoken English
Strong UI/UX portfolio (product flows, not just landing pages)
Front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JS, and/or Webflow/WordPress/React)
Experience with Figma and AWS
Reliable internet and professional communication setup
Familiarity with Git or structured version control preferred

COMMUNICATION and AVAILABILITY
Must be comfortable with daily communication
Must be available for weekly video/voice meetings
Must be able to collaborate respectfully with a distributed leadership team, including incarcerated stakeholders working under communication constraints

SECURITY and PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
Must be willing to sign:
NDA
IP Assignment / Work-for-Hire Agreement
Must follow basic security practices (2FA, secure file sharing, professional data handling)

COMMITMENT
Minimum 6-month commitment
40+ hour work weeks

COMPENSATION
We are offering a competitive, long-term monthly rate based on experience, reliability, and demonstrated skill. This role is designed for someone seeking stable, ongoing work, not short-term gigs.
