Technical Right Hand / Vibe Coder (AI + Automations)

Location: Philippines only
Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week)
Compensation: $1,400–$2,000 USD/month, depending on skill and experience
Type: Long-term role

About the Role:

We’re hiring a Technical Right Hand — someone who can take rough ideas and turn them into working internal tools using AI, APIs, and solid technical judgment.

This is not a task-following VA role.
This is a thinking + building role.

You’ll work directly with the founder of a service business, helping design, build, and troubleshoot automations that reduce friction, errors, and manual work across the company.

If you enjoy using AI daily, fixing broken code, and connecting systems together, this role will be a strong fit.


How We Work:

We use the 10–80–10 model:

Founder provides vision and constraints

You do the heavy lifting (with AI)

Founder reviews and refines

Async-first work

1–2 live sync calls per week

High trust, high ownership, clear expectations


What You’ll Actually Do:

Build and maintain internal tools and automations

Work with APIs such as:

Pipedrive

Trello

Jobber

Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) every day

Debug and fix AI-generated code when it breaks or hallucinates

Turn incomplete or messy ideas into clean, reliable systems

Proactively suggest better approaches, not just execute instructions

Communicate progress, blockers, and decisions clearly

Required Skills:

You don’t need to be a senior engineer — but you must have real fundamentals.

Must-haves:

Working knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript

Comfortable reading and editing code you didn’t write

Experience working with APIs (auth, payloads, errors, rate limits)

Strong debugging instincts

Clear written communication

Ability to work independently without step-by-step instructions

Strong bonus signals (not required):

Uses Cursor or another AI-native IDE

Daily LLM user beyond basic prompting

Familiarity or curiosity around Model Context Protocol (MCP) or emerging AI tooling

Systems thinker who enjoys improving processes, not just shipping scripts

What This Role Is NOT:

? Not a prompt-only “AI operator”

? Not a ticket-taker

? Not a copy/paste developer

? Not a role with perfect specs for every task

You can take a vague idea and turn it into a working solution

You catch problems early and explain them clearly

The systems you build reduce errors and manual work

The founder trusts you to handle technical problems end-to-end

Over time, you proactively propose better ways to do things
