Tech Ops & Automation Lead (Remote, Fast-Growing Team)

We’re on the hunt for a gun tech all-rounder who loves building automations, connecting APIs, and making systems sing. If Airtable bases, Shopify backends, Klaviyo flows, Twilio automations, and multi-platform workflows are your playground, this is the role for you.

About Us:
We’re a fast-growing creative events business and early education group with a fully remote team. We’re heavy on tech and automation, and this role reports directly to the CEO/founder (ex-tech startup, exited) who has personally built our systems to date. This role is spread across multiple founder-led businesses, so there’s variety, challenge, and zero chance of boredom. We’re an Australian team and we value hard work, transparency, and having a good time while doing it.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Build + maintain Airtable bases (operations, reporting, CRM)
2. Manage Shopify backend + product/order flows + Shopify automations
3. Write scripts (JavaScript/Python) + connect APIs
4. Automate workflows in Zapier/Make/n8n/Lindy.ai
5. Build + optimise Klaviyo marketing automations (email + SMS)
6. Design + maintain Twilio SMS automations for customer + internal workflows
7. Support Deputy scheduling/workforce integrations
8. Troubleshoot tech issues across Slack, Google Suite, ---------- etc
9. Identify + deliver automation opportunities

Skills Required:
• Deep understanding of APIs + system integrations
• Airtable expert (formulas, automations, scripting)
• Shopify backend + Shopify automations (products, variants, metafields, POS, orders)
• Zapier/Make/n8n advanced automation setup
• Klaviyo flows (email/SMS automation + segmentation)
• Twilio automations setup + maintenance
• JavaScript/Python scripting
• Problem solver, self-starter, good communicator

Nice to Have:
• Shopify site design/build experience
• SEO + UI/UX design basics
• Stripe, Firebase or Supabase familiarity
• Dashboard/report design

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days:
• ? Deliver at least 3 new high-value automations that save the tea ---------- asurable time
• ? Take ownership of Airtable + Shopify integrations without CEO handholding
• ? Deploy first Klaviyo + Twilio automation flows live and running smoothly
• ? Document key systems and automations for repeatability
• ? Build trust as the go-to tech problem solver across all founder-led businesses

• Timesheets are electronic as time is split between multiple entities
