Systems Engineer

What You’ll Do:
The Gymreapers team is growing and we’ve created a new Systems Engineer ---------- this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our technology environment and associated systems. Additionally, you will ensure the stability, performance, and security of our technology infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of front-end and back-end technologies, enhance user experiences, optimize performance, and drive innovation in the ecommerce space.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable web applications with a focus on both front-end and back-end technologies.
Lead internal and external development and maintenance of new and current APIs for data exchange between the front-end and back-end systems.
Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to integrate various software and systems, including payment gateways, inventory management, ERP, Finance, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Lead in the design and architecture of complex systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Continuously improve the user experience, functionality, and performance of our technology infrastructure, incorporating best practices and the latest industry trends.
Implement security best practices to protect customer data and payment information. Stay up-to-date with cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure reliability and adherence to specifications.
Continuously monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.
Monitor website performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve page load times and overall user experience.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all code, processes, and system configurations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and projects.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve any system-related issues promptly.
Analyze system performance trends and plan for capacity upgrades as needed to support business growth.
