Squarespace Web Designer for Artist Website (Short-Term Project)

OVERVIEW
I’m a pianist, composer, and music educator looking for a Squarespace web designer to help refresh and elevate my personal artist website:

This is a design-focused role, not a general virtual assistant position. The goal is to improve layout, visual flow, and overall aesthetics while keeping the site clean, minimal, and elegant.

This is a revamp of an existing website, not a full rebuild.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Refresh and redesign an existing Squarespace website
- Improve layout, spacing, and visual hierarchy
- Redesign or refine the homepage layout
- Ensure consistency in fonts, colors, and styling across pages
- Optimize the website for mobile and tablet
- Make light content and layout adjustments (no heavy copywriting)
- Final polish, revisions, and handoff

REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience designing websites on Squarespace
- Strong design sense (layout, spacing, visual balance)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Clear and responsive communication
- Portfolio or samples of Squarespace websites you’ve designed

Applications without Squarespace samples may not be considered.

NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with artist, creative, or personal brand websites
- Eye for minimalist / aesthetic design
- Familiarity with music, arts, or lifestyle branding
