Software Engineer/Developer

Hi team,

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our company based in New Zealand.

This role involves supporting existing PHP/Laravel applications through ongoing fixes and enhancements, as well as contributing to the development of a mobile app when not working on support tasks.

What You’ll Be Working On
• Maintaining and improving PHP/Laravel web applications
• Collaborating on new feature development
• Building and maintaining a cross-platform mobile app
• Participating in CI/CD workflows and modern DevOps practices

Key Requirements

Backend Development:
• Proficient in PHP (multiple versions), including legacy CakePHP and modern Laravel frameworks
• Experience with Composer for dependency management and package authoring/publishing

Frontend Development:
• Strong knowledge of Vue.js, jQuery, Tailwind CSS, and HTML5
• Familiar with modern build tools such as Vite, npm (Node.js), and Babel

Serverless & Integrations:
• Familiarity with API Gateway and related integrations as part of application support

Publishing & Automation:
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitLab CI

Mobile Development:
• Working knowledge of native iOS/Android development or cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
