Software Development Manager

Seeking a Software Development Manager who is a full stack developer. Ideal candidate can wear a number of hats in a small organization. Must love learning new technologies. The main job is to facilitate on-time delivery and manage the development process.

We are looking for someone with experience in building very elegant schemas and an advanced degree in computer science. Experience with multiple programming languages is ideal along with adaptability in task management to make efficient use of resources. We like when you are able to use your imagination to solve complex problems.

Our ideal candidate has excellent skills in Architecture, Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Design, Test Driven Development, Testing, Defect Fixing, Troubleshooting, Performance Optimization and Production (dev ops) Support. (S)he also has strong analytical thinking, good business knowledge, and a sharp focus on software reliability. We need someone with experience in researching & selecting third party modules, module architecture planning, test design, test automation, ability to have technical planning discussions for future application design, and database technology experience

We are also looking for experience in automating processes that save significant time, as well as experience in hiring and building virtual and dynamic development teams using freelance platforms like Upwork.

We are a fast-paced environment and this job requires managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work various time zones will be required – depending on where the developers are located. This is a job that requires strong daily communication skills and becoming the go to person for complex problems. You will be a key member of the global management team. Must know Jira and Git well.

We will start off with some small test projects and then add more work if we have a good fit together. In 4-8 weeks, if we work well, this could become a full-time role. We need someone who can be available as projects dictate - which sometimes could mean late nights or weekends. Our daily engineering meetings are in the morning PST.
