Software Developer

The successful candidate will be trainable and able to quickly learn the Claris FileMaker platform. Prior development experience is beneficial but not required. We will provide paid training (at a lower training rate) while you learn the platform. You should be comfortable learning from primarily text documentation.

After training you will join a project team to help develop and maintain a variety of FileMaker applications for US based ---------- velopers are able to work their own hours (apart from tea ---------- etings) and there is great earning potential, particularly after certification.

All developers are required to have or obtain a FileMaker certification. If you are not certified, we will provide training and pay for your tests until you pass. Each attempt costs $150 USD so this is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career and resume.

The position is available long-term, full time and we expect 30 hr/week. Willing to work in a probationary period


Responsibilities:
*Development, enhancement, documentation, and troubleshooting of a small, but moderately complex FileMaker Pro Advanced application.
*Participate in regular workshop sessions to develop prototypes that lead to the final application Wow.
*UI and layout design, scripting, and schema definitions.
*Importing and analyzing data, working with server admin to automate imports, creating/updating
*Other duties as they arise related to the needs of the development of the application.
*Must be accountable for in your Product

Skills Required:
*Experience in software design, development, testing, and deployment.
*Familiarity with working on complex server-based applications in FileMaker Pro Advanced v17.
*Experience in developing and supporting FileMaker Pro Advanced applications that are client, web-based.
*Tableau expertise is a plus

Qualifications:
*2+ years of full time database application development, but not required
*Ability to work well independently and in a team environment on multiple projects at once
*Solid understanding of relational database structure, design and complex scripting is highly desirable
*Quality samples of work for review
*FileMaker Certification highly preferred
*Knowledge of FileMaker and/or SQL is a plus
