Software Developer

We are looking for a developer to join our growing team.

You will be responsible for developing a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform from scratch. You will be working in a team of 2-4 other developers on this brand new platform.
If you have previous experience in developing SaaS platform, then please read on.

We are specifically interested in a developer with strong PHP and PHP framework skills and experience, web development tools and practices, as well as handling version control systems for continuous development of products working within a team of other developers.

We are an eCommerce company selling thousands of products in 7 markets across the world. We are also preparing a new product which will be an SaaS product (Software as a Service)
We are going through a fast and steady growth which means we need to adapt the way we work and serve our customers.
For this reason we need greater IT capabilities.
As we develop our IT capabilities we realise that other people are facing the same issue and we would like to make our online custom built tools available to others.

Who we are looking for:
Knowledgeable and familiar with any open source or commercial development platforms such as but not limited to PHP, Postgres SQL, MySQL, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, Visual Studio.Net Technology, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and any other high-end RDMBS in the market today
Accustomed with Application Support and Maintenance
With exposure to 3-tiered application and test driven application development
Ability to quickly master new technologies
Must have a good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent in interpersonal skills working in a team environment
Excellent in written and verbal communication skills in English
Someone with strong experience and knowledge in developing SaaS (ie an online platform/software that is replicated and used by hundreds/thousands of individual users/instances).
Someone with agile/scrum development methodology know-how and experience.
Someone who is motivated to learn and suggest the best solutions to given tasks and challenges.

Your role:
Develops moderately from simple to complex applications
Utilizes software engineering tools such as configuration management systems
Creates and executes designs for small sets of new functionality as part of a software project
May perform as a technical leader or lead software engineer for derivative software project
Collaborates and adds value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving
Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problem
Serves as a mentor to less experienced software engineers
Estimates level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes and provide comments on some technicalities
Works collaboratively and professionally with other Global Applications software engineers, analysts and quality assurance engineers
Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion
Review product and/or application information including manuals and brochures for technical accuracy
Participate in product and/or application definition including feature analysis and system tradeoffs

Salary range: 15,000 to 30,000 PHP
