Location: Spring Valley, California (Hybrid/Remote Considered)

About Us
The L.O.V.E. and G.R.A.C.E. Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving families and individuals experiencing homelessness, including those living in vehicles, through compassionate programs, advocacy, housing navigation, and community support. We are entering an exciting phase of growth and are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager/Fundraising Director to lead fundraising, communications, donor engagement, and community outreach.
Position Summary
The Social Media & Development Virtual Assistant will lead the organization's fundraising and marketing strategy to increase donor support, community awareness, volunteer engagement, and organizational growth. This position will oversee annual fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, corporate partnerships, grant support, special events, and a multi-year capital campaign to expand services and facilities.
The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator, relationship builder, and results-driven fundraiser who is passionate about helping vulnerable families achieve housing stability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all Social Media Platforms
Fundraising & Development
• Develop and implement annual fundraising plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Manage individual giving, major gifts, monthly giving, and donor stewardship programs.
• Lead fundraising campaigns, including online giving campaigns and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors.
• Develop corporate sponsorship opportunities and community partnerships.
• Support grant research and proposal development.
• Track fundraising metrics and prepare reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Assist with capital campaign planning and execution.
Marketing & Communications
• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy.
• Manage the organization's website, social media platforms, email marketing, and digital presence.
• Create compelling donor-centered content, impact stories, newsletters, and annual reports.
• Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
• Produce marketing materials, presentations, and promotional campaigns.
Community Engagement
• Build relationships with community leaders, businesses, faith-based organizations, and civic groups.
• Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities.
• Recruit and engage volunteers through targeted outreach campaigns.
• Coordinate public awareness campaigns focused on homelessness and housing insecurity.
Event Management
• Plan and execute fundraising events, donor appreciation events, and community outreach activities.
• Manage event sponsorships, promotions, logistics, and follow-up stewardship.
Leadership
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors on strategic initiatives.
• Present fundraising and marketing updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop systems and processes to improve donor engagement and retention.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, marketing, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success in securing donations, sponsorships, and community partnerships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with donor databases and CRM systems.
• Experience managing social media and digital marketing campaigns.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
• Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) credential.
• Experience leading capital campaigns.
• Experience working with homelessness, housing, poverty, or human services organizations.
• Knowledge of grant writing and foundation relations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
