About Hausporte
Hausporte is a short-term and mid-term vacation rental management company based in New Jersey. We manage a growing portfolio of units listed on Airbnb and VRBO and are building a professional, systems-driven operation. This is a small but fast-moving business with real room for the right person to grow with us.
The Role
We're looking for a reliable, experienced STR Virtual Assistant to join our core operations team. Your primary responsibility is guest communications during your shift, but the reality is that guest volume during any given shift is moderate — which means you'll spend a significant portion of your time supporting broader operational and administrative tasks. This is not a passive inbox-monitoring role. We want someone proactive, organized, and genuinely invested in helping the business run well.
Guest Communications Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to guest inquiries and booking requests across Airbnb and VRBO
Send pre-arrival messages including check-in instructions, door codes, and house rules
Handle mid-stay guest requests, questions, and complaints professionally
Coordinate with cleaning team following checkouts
Escalate urgent or unresolved issues to management immediately
Send post-checkout review requests

Operational & Administrative Tasks

Calendar management and listing updates across platforms
Cleaner and contractor scheduling coordination
Basic data entry for bookkeeping and expense tracking
Building and maintaining SOPs, checklists, and internal documentation
Vendor and market research as assigned
Linen inventory tracking and logistics support
Ad hoc tasks supporting a growing property management operation

What We're Looking For

Demonstrated experience with STR guest communications on Airbnb and/or VRBO — this is required, not preferred
Excellent written English with a warm, professional guest-facing tone
Available to work Sunday–Friday 4pm–8pm Eastern Time consistently
Reliable high-speed internet connection with backup power
Self-directed and comfortable managing your own time during a shift
Familiarity with any PMS platform (Hostex, Guesty, Lodgify, etc.) is a strong plus
Experience supporting a small business owner in a generalist capacity is a strong plus
