JOB OVERVIEW

We help experts, authors, and B2B personal brands publish higher-performing content—consistently—without the bottlenecks. You’ll craft the words that make their videos unskippable.

What you’ll do
• Pitch topics & angles weekly based on the brand’s industry, audience pain points, and what’s currently trending/viral.
• Source references using our tools (viral clip databases, competitor analysis, VoC notes) and pull what’s working: hooks, formats, CTAs.
• Write/rewrite short-form scripts (30–90s) that match the brand’s voice and follow proven beats (hook ? setup ? value ? proof ? CTA).
• Provide 3–5 hook options per script and 2 CTA options tailored to the funnel goal (DM, opt-in, follow, book call).
• Add format notes per script: framing (talking head, green screen, screen share), text-on-screen cues, B-roll prompts, cut timing, caption starters, and suggested on-screen keywords.
• Localize to platform (IG Reels first; adaptable to Shorts/TikTok as needed: length, pacing, text safe areas, captions).
• Iterate from results (watch time, saves, comments, DMs)—propose variants and A/B hooks based on performance.
• Collaborate in Notion + Slack with editors/designers so what’s written is easy to film and easy to cut.

You’ll thrive in this role if you…
• Are obsessed with hooks and can write 10 that don’t feel like clickbait.
• Understand storytelling frameworks: PAS, BAB, TRA, SSL—and when to use which.
• Know the beats of IG Reels: first 1–2s pattern break, quick setup, one core idea, proof, crisp CTA.
• Can mirror brand voice (we provide a Brand DNA/voice guide + golden samples).
• Write clean, concise, emotionally resonant copy with perfect grammar.
• Track what’s working in-niche and pitch formats (e.g., listicle, myth-busting, POV, tutorial, before/after, duets, stitch, carousel companion).

Requirements
• 2+ years writing short-form video scripts for IG/TT/Shorts or a portfolio showing you can.
• Demonstrated skill with hooks, narrative flow, and CTAs that drive action (comments, DMs, clicks).
• Strong command of US English and marketing copy principles (benefit-driven, specific, clear).
• Comfortable working from research inputs (competitor clips, transcripts, JTBD/VoC notes).
• Reliable turnaround: first drafts within 24–48 hours of brief; open to rapid iteration.
• Tools: Notion, Slack, Google Drive (bonus: familiarity with Descript terms, ManyChat/DM flows).

Nice to have
• B2B/Expert/Author/SaaS experience.
• Understanding of basic analytics (retention, hook drop-off, saves, shares).
• Light knowledge of IG caption best practices and comment prompts.

Deliverables & KPIs (initial)
• 15–25 scripts/month per client (start small; scale up).
• Each script includes: 3–5 hooks, 1 core outline, on-screen text cues, format notes, 2 CTAs, caption starter.
• First-pass acceptance 70%, on-time delivery 95%.
• Continuous hook/CTA testing plan suggested monthly.
