JOB OVERVIEW

We are an content distribution agency for business coaches and consultants in the US and UK. We take their existing long-form content — podcasts, webinars, YouTube videos — and turn it into high-performing short-form clips that grow their audience and generate inbound leads.

We are not a generic video agency. We are a growth partner. Every clip we deliver has a strategy behind it. That means every editor we work with needs to think the same way.

About the role

We are looking for a short-form video editor who does not just cut clips — but who understands why certain content stops people mid-scroll and others do not. You will receive raw footage and timestamped instructions from our team and turn those ---------- nts into polished, platform-native clips for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.

This is a part-time role to start (4–5 hours per day, Monday to Friday) with a clear path to a full-time senior position as our team and client base grows. If you are the right person, you will grow into the Head of Editing at Strive as we scale.

What you will work on

You will edit short-form clips (60–90 seconds) from business coaching podcasts, webinars and YouTube content. Each clip must be visually engaging from the first frame, hook-optimized for the first 3 seconds, and delivered within 24 hours of receiving the brief.

You will add dynamic captions (word-by-word or phrase-by-phrase), apply branding elements and overlays, reformat footage for vertical (9:16) and square (1:1) where needed, and occasionally suggest improvements to the hook or pacing based on what you know works.

What we need from you

You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience editing short-form content — not general video, but Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts specifically. You have a portfolio that shows real clips made for real clients or brands, not just personal content.

You are an expert in CapCut. You know how to build dynamic captions, work with motion elements, apply color grading, and deliver clips that look clean and professional across platforms. Experience with Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve is a bonus but not required.

You understand platfor ---------- chanics. You know that what works on TikTok is not always what works on LinkedIn. You know the difference between a hook that generates watch time and one that loses people in the first two seconds. You think about performance, not just production.

You are fast, reliable and communicate clearly. Our clients are busy professionals. When we commit to a 24-hour turnaround, we deliver it — no exceptions.
