JOB OVERVIEW

PLEASE READ THIS PAGE THOROUGHLY — YOU CAN FIND THE EDITING APPLICATION FORM AT THE BOTTOM

We are looking for an editor with experience in live event, retreat, workshop, or community-based content. This is not a fast-cut, trend-based editing role.

About Us:

Spirit Soul hosts live Kirtan gatherings around the world. Kirtan is a guided group chanting experience rooted in Yoga Sound Meditation. People come together to sing, reflect, meditate, and connect.

Our focus is simple: create a space where people feel calmer, more open, and more connected.

We are not influencers. We are not motivational speakers. We are not a high-energy brand. Everything we create should reflect that.

Project Overview:

We are looking for a video editor who understands documentary-style, human storytelling.

We are creating:

* 30–60 second Kirtan Experience trailers
* Invitation videos for upcoming events
* Tour teasers
* Event recap videos
* Ongoing short-form content for social media

The purpose of these videos is to:

1. Show what Kirtan actually feels like.
2. Help people feel comfortable attending.
3. Capture the real atmosphere of the event.

This is not fast-paced social media editing.
This is not YouTube essay-style editing.
This is not high-energy marketing content.

It should feel natural, grounded, and real.

You should know how to:

We care more about tone and pacing than flashy skills.

You’re a Good Fit If:

* You have strong experience in Premiere Pro.
* You’ve edited documentary-style content, retreats, live events, or community-based content.
* You understand natural pacing (not rapid cuts every 1–2 seconds).
* You are comfortable working with real event footage.
* You avoid overusing motion graphics and effects.
* You care about subtle sound design and natural ambience.
* You communicate clearly and take feedback well.

Editing Style We’re Looking For:

What this is:

* Documentary-style
* Observational
* Natural pacing
* Emotion driven by real ---------- nts
* Minimal graphics
* Clean subtitles
* Warm, natural color

What this is not:

* Alex Hormozi style
* High-retention hook editing
* Loud motivational pacing
* Heavy zooms, glitch effects, or dramatic transitions
* Over-designed YouTube essays

If the edit feels like an ad, it’s wrong.
If it feels like a real memory, it’s right.

Sound:

Natural audio matters.

We want:

* Real chanting
* Room ambience
* Breath
* Laughter
* Crowd energy

Music should support gently, not dominate.
No dramatic trailer builds.
