Shopify Web Developer (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Shopify Web Developer who can take full ownership of our e-commerce platform and help drive online growth through technical excellence, optimization, and innovation.

This role goes beyond basic Shopify development. We are seeking someone who understands the entire e-commerce ecosystem—from storefront development and conversion optimization to integrations, performance, automation, and user experience. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, proactive, and capable of turning business requirements into scalable Shopify solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores
• Build high-converting landing pages, product pages, collection pages, and custom storefront experiences
• Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern development frameworks
• Optimize website speed, performance, and overall user experience
• Implement and maintain third-party integrations, APIs, payment gateways, CRM systems, and marketing tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and site performance challenges
• Collaborate closely with marketing, design, and leadership teams to execute growth initiatives
• Develop custom Shopify applications and advanced functionality when required
• Implement conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies to improve revenue and customer engagement
• Ensure SEO best practices are implemented across the website
• Create automated workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency
• Monitor website analytics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Stay up to date with Shopify updates, emerging technologies, AI tools, and e-commerce trends

Qualifications
• 3+ years of proven experience developing and managing Shopify stores
• Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development
• Experience with Shopify APIs, custom integrations, and third-party applications
• Strong understanding of e-commerce architecture, customer journeys, and conversion optimization
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and tracking implementations
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and modern development workflows
• Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to deployment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications
• Shopify Plus experience
• Experience with React, Next.js, or Headless Shopify development
• Experience with Klaviyo, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of AI-powered development tools and automation platforms
• Experience working in high-growth e-commerce or direct-to-consumer brands
