Shopify VA — e-commerce store builder & manager

About the role

I'm building a new Shopify e-commerce store and need a skilled, detail-oriented VA to help me set it up from scratch and keep it running smoothly. This is a part-time role with strong potential to grow into a long-term position as the business scales. You'll be working directly with me, so clear communication and reliability are just as important as technical skills.

What you'll be doing

Set up and configure our Shopify store (theme, navigation, pages, settings)
Upload and organize products — titles, descriptions, images, pricing, variants
Install and configure apps (reviews, upsells, email, etc.)
Optimize product pages and collections for conversions
Set up payment gateways, shipping zones, and tax settings
Write or edit product descriptions (SEO-friendly preferred)
Assist with order management and customer service as needed
Perform basic graphic edits (banners, product images) using Canva or similar

What I'm looking for

At least 1 year of hands-on Shopify experience (store setup preferred)
Strong written English — you'll be writing product copy
Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, and project management tools
Self-starter who can work independently with minimal hand-holding
Responsive and reliable — you reply quickly and meet deadlines
Experience with Shopify apps (Klaviyo, DSers, PageFly, etc.) is a plus
Basic SEO knowledge is a bonus
